"Apparently," Phillip teases back, a wry smile of his own as they settle into their seats. The smile fades a little as the topic turns more serious, and there's definitely a curious look at how casually he addresses Haurchefant, but the expression only turns solemn when they reach the semi-explanation.
"...Thank you," he says after a quiet moment, "I mean. I suppose it makes sense that you wouldn't have known, but-- I appreciate that you would have said something had you." He reaches across the table to give the man's hand a squeeze. "...I have missed you," he admits, almost grudgingly, because for someone who clearly experiences quite a lot of emotions Phillip is often oddly reluctant to admit having them.
After a moment, he leans back in his chair, crossing his arms with a grin, as if that moment were gone and forgotten. "So," he prompts, head tilt a bit coy and teasing, "Tell me everything."
