And what he mostly feels, worn bright on his sleeve, is worn thin, to the point he's almost surprised anything is solid, that he's still solid. He's no stranger at this point to carrying the hopes and dreams of others, their lives and their deaths, but it never gets easier for him, and it's never been heavier.
