Oh, this is reminding Opal of how very bad at City interactions he still is. The tease he thinks is a flirt, which does not bother him in the slightest, just the fact that he's not entirely sure it is. He is a walking ball of social anxiety half of the time and has merely used the stoicism from his Warden training to cover for it; he does not think his sisters were half as reluctant to speak their mind as most people here. Perhaps Gustavain, having teased so early, will be more straightforward with his speech?
